I wrote to Kate Rockwell during "Mean Girls" pre-Broadway run in DC. She was really fast in responding, and she sent me a personalized signed playbill! I was super excited about this, and I really can't wait to see this show!

"The King and I" tour

I saw "The King and I" tour on November 30, 2017 at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. It was such an amazing production, and I was so blown away by everything about it! Laura Michelle Kelly was so spectacular- her voice is out of this world and she's just so perfect for the role. Jose Llana was also amazing as the king and was absolutely hilarious. His comedic timing is spot-on, and they worked so well together. And the costumes in the show were incredible- I literally gasped at Anna's dress during "Shall We Dance?". They were also so sweet at the stage door! Definitely one of the best shows that I have seen in a long time!

Becca Petersen

I wrote to Becca Petersen in the ensemble of "Bandstand". She sent me back a signed playbill with a sweet note on it, but it's a little hard to read because she used a black sharpie.

Aisha Jackson

I wrote to Aisha Jackson (Anna standby) during Frozen's pre-Broadway run. I had a really difficult time getting it to her- it was returned to me twice before it made it there! I used the same address for Audrey Bennett and it got there without a problem, so I'm not really sure what happened with this one. Aisha wrote me a super sweet note, and she also sent me a playbill (unsigned). My SASE was too small (because I didn't realize how huge the playbills were), so she actually got her own envelope, which I thought was really nice!

Audrey Bennett

I wrote to Audrey Bennett (young Anna) in Denver in Frozen's pre-Broadway run. She sent me back a sweet note on a Frozen postcard, and a playbill signed by the entire cast! The playbills weren't standard sized and were huge! I was super excited about this response!

I wrote to Lucas Steele in "Great Comet", and I honestly thought that I wouldn't hear back from him because the show had already closed. A couple of weeks after closing, I got this response in the mail with a signed playbill, and I was so excited!

"On Your Feet" tour

I saw the "On Your Feet" tour in St. Louis on November 9, 2017. It honestly wasn't my favorite show, but the cast was so sweet at the stage door and I got my playbill signed by pretty much the entire cast!

"Cats" Stage Manager

I wrote to the "Cats" stage manager requesting a playbill, and they sent me back a full cast-signed playbill! I did include a SASE.

"Newsies" at the Muny

I saw "Newsies" at the Muny on August 8th, 2017. I really enjoyed this production- "Newsies" has always been one of my favorite shows, so I was super jazzed that the  Muny chose to do it this season. I stage doored after the show and met pretty much the entire cast. There was a somewhat long line, so the staff person there told us that we were only allowed to get either a photo or an autograph from each cast member, but not both. I still got an autograph and photo from all of them though... They didn't really let the cast just stop and talk- if they were with one person for too long, they came over and told them that they needed to keep the line moving. It was still an awesome experience, though!

Hayley Podschun

I wrote to Hayley Podschun in "Hello Dolly!" on Broadway. She is an ensemble member, and she has also played Glinda in the national tour of "Wicked" and was an ensemble member in "Something Rotten!" on Broadway. I sent her a questionnaire, which she did a really great job of answering. I also sent her two photos which she personalized and signed. She also sent me an unsigned "Hello Dolly!" playbill and wrote me a super sweet note where she told me to "kick booty at WashU (my school) and every day". This was really a great response! I did include a SASE.

"A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" at the Muny

I saw "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" at the Muny in July 2017, and I absolutely loved it! It was probably my favorite from the 99th season! First off, Jeffrey Schecter was absolutely incredible. The actor who was supposed to play Pseudolus had to pull out a couple of days before the show, and Schecky was called on Saturday night to ask if he could play the role. He flew out early Sunday morning and was playing the role on stage by that Wednesday night! When he was asked to do it, his answer was "I love the Muny. I'm there for you". He had his script in hand during the show, but I was so impressed- probably one of the best performances I've ever seen at the Muny! I also had an amazing experience at the stage door- I love Ali Ewoldt, and I made her a gift (Christine dress-up dolls). She was so sweet and excited, and she even took a photo with me on her phone and posted it on Instagram! Such an incredible experience!

"A Chorus Line" at the Muny

I saw "A Chorus Line" at the Muny during July 2017, and I really enjoyed it! It was my first time seeing this show, and I thought that the Muny really did an incredible production of it. I chose not to stage door for this show, but it was still an awesome experience!

"All Shook Up" at the Muny

I saw "All Shook Up" at the Muny during the 99th season in 2017. It wasn't my favorite show (not a big Elvis fan), but I was excited to see Caroline Bowman perform. After the show, I stage-doored and got autographs from pretty much the entire cast.

Drew Gehling

It took Drew about a month to respond, and h sent me a playbill signed by both himself and Stephanie Styles. He also sent me a page from his script and he wrote a nice note on the back. Overall, very nice of him!

I was super excited about this response from the "Roman Holiday" stage manager. I wrote to them in San Francisco during their pre-Broadway run, and I wasn't really sure if I would get anything back. A little bit after they closed, I received a full cast signed playbill! I did include a SASE.

"The Little Mermaid" at the Muny

I saw "The Little Mermaid" at the Muny in June, 2017, and it was absolutely incredible. Emma Degerstedt was Ariel, and I was so blown away by her voice and performance. She was also so sweet at the stage door. There was a little girl at the stage door who loved Emma and kept hugging her. It was so cute, and Emma kissed her on the head! She also told me that I'm the real Ariel and she's just an imposter since I have red hair. Jason Gotay was also great as Prince Eric. I met pretty much the entire cast (even a lot of the ensemble members) except for Emily Skinner (Ursula). It was my favorite show so far this Muny season for sure!

Taylor Louderman

I wrote to Taylor Louderman in "Kinky Boots" on Broadway, and I got a response from her after about a month. I saw her as Amneris at Aida at the Muny the year before, and I thought that she was so incredible (and she can belt like crazy!). She was also super sweet and kind at the stage door. She sent me a pride playbill that was signed by herself and Brendon Urie. She also answered my questionnaire really thoroughly and sent me a sweet personalized note. I did include a SASE.

"Jesus Christ Superstar" at the Muny

I saw "Jesus Christ Superstar" at the Muny on opening night, and it was really good! I was really impressed with the entire cast, and I was able to meet most of them at the stage door. I was really excited because Jon Rua came out to the stage door and signed my playbill. I also got a picture with him, and he was super nice. I also got to meet Ciara Renee (she played Mary Magdalene), and she was so incredible and sweet!

Kristin Chenoweth

I saw Kristin Chenoweth perform on April 28, 2017, and she was so incredible. She has an amazing voice, and she is so funny and down-to-earth seeming. I waited at the stage door, but she didn't come out. It was an absolutely amazing experience!
